Wildlife at Camp

While staying at camp through the months of September and October, I have come to realize that the grounds are much quieter than during the summer. Instead of hearing the shouts of campers playing on the fields and splashing in the lake, all that can be heard are the distance cries of the geese stopping through on their long trip down south and the falling of acorns on roofs of the cabins. Since the summer inhabitants have been gone for some time now, the year round residents come out of hiding...

More Trail System Improvements

The Maine Conservation Corps has visited camp once again to help us with our ever growing network of trails. Next summer, these trails will be enjoyed by both mountain bikers and hikers. Drew and I have mapped out some exciting new trails that will be fun and challenging for both beginners and experts alike.This new trail begins beside the archery range, then winds its way behind the Fieldhouse, then behind the new field and across Plains Road to connect with the Nubble trails built at the beginning...
