Foam Amazingness

As the countdown to the beginning of the camp season begins, David and I decided it was high time to test out our brand new foam machine along with the work crew staff. First, we filled a 55 gallon barrel with water and foam solution, and THEN, we turned on the blower. Foam was shooting everywhere from the foam cannon! There was a huge 3 foot deep pile of it after only a minute or two.  Jonathan, David, Michelle, Jake, and I all jumped in and we were amazed at how much fun it was! The foam was so thick that at times that we couldn't even see each other, so we had to do a "buddy check"! We tried playing a few games like dodgeball and soccer. We also made foam sculptures and gave David some great "foam hair". We are so excited to think of all sorts of new games that we can play using foam and we can't wait for you to get here and help us try it out!

Ease Those Opening Day Jitters by Attending Kingsley Pines Exploration Day

We would like to invite all new campers and their families to Kingsley Pines Exploration Day on Sunday, May 22, from 1:00-3:00 pm.

We will be offering tours all afternoon so you and your parents can see the cabins, dining hall, waterfront, theater, athletic fields, climbing tower, lodge, and so much more. You will also have a chance to meet the Owners, Director, and some of the staff.

This is a great opportunity for first-time campers to reduce some of their opening day jitters. Refreshments will be served. We hope you will be able to attend! Click here for directions to Kingsley Pines.

Joyce Coughlan Receives the Women of Initiative Award

Congratulations Joyce!

Joyce recently received the esteemed “Women of Initiative Award” presented in Naples, Florida.  This prestigious award is given to only a few selected women for their dedication in helping to make the world a better place.

As you probably know, Joyce and Pat started Kingsley Pines 30 years ago. Their continued belief is that camp, more than any other child development program, brings out the best in children and plays a direct and positive result in their future accomplishments. In keeping with this conviction, Joyce and Pat started our Aspirations Program for economically disadvantaged children, who aspire to attend higher education.  The Kingsley Pines family is so proud of Joyce’s hard work, dedication to others, and the special gift of enriching the lives and experiences of everyone in her midst.

Thanks for the inspiration!
