Greetings!  Today is our final report on the 2011 Winter Parties.  Although I am sad they are over, I am more excited than ever for camp to begin!  Our final party took place in Tampa on February 11^th.  Once again we were bowling, rockin’ out, laughing a lot, and eating yummy pizza!  We had a great turn out and it was really awesome to see all of you there.

I would like to personally thank all of the counselors, campers, moms, dads, grandparents, brothers, and sisters who attended one of these parties.  We had a rockin’ good time and are so happy to see these events grow bigger and bigger every year. 

If you weren’t able to join us this year, please know we’ll be back again next winter and we want to see you there!  These events are a great way to stay connected to KP all year long!  Today, I set up a countdown calendar on my computer so I will know exactly how many days I have left to wait.  Go to our Facebook page and tell us - What are you doing to get ready for camp?!?!

Last weekend the Kingsley Pines Winter Tour was on the road south to sunny Florida!  Every year we get dozens of campers from this part of the country who head north to escape the summer heat.  On Saturday, we were in Boca Raton for a rock-and-roll themed bowling party, complete with pizza, soda, photo opportunities, and yes, even candy!  Families of campers, new and returning, were there to hang out, have fun, and share stories about their favorite camp memories and what they are most looking forward to this summer.

Then on Sunday we packed up our crew and headed across Alligator Alley, to Naples on the west coast, for another packed-house event.  We had a special celebrity appearance by our own Nurse Jodi, who is a traveling ICU nurse when she isn’t at KP taking care of our campers.  For me the highlight of the day was the ravenous attack on the pizzas as they were brought out warm and gooey from the oven.  One pizza was timed at disappearing in less than 30 seconds!  KP campers sure do love their pizza!

For both events we had families who drove from as far as two hours away to spend the day with us!  Owners Devon Coughlan and Drew Taylor both traveled with their families to these events to reconnect with returning campers and to talk with prospective families who are interested in joining the KP family this summer.  Click here to see our photo gallery for both of the events.

We want to send out a huge thank you to everyone who attended and made these such rockin’ events!  The KP Winter Party Tour took a weekend off for Superbowl Sunday (sorry Patriots), but this Saturday, February 11^th, we’ll be back on the road for our last Winter Party of 2012.  Tampa is our final destination and we can’t wait to see you all there!
