If you are looking for an exciting and rewarding experience where you can make a real difference in a child's life, then this is the place for you! Thank you for your interest in working at Kingsley Pines. We currently have job openings for camp counselors, cooks, and many other positions.

Kingsley Pines is a coed, noncompetitive, resident camp for ages 8-16 located on Panther Lake in Raymond, Maine. The camp season begins June 14, 2014. It consists of one week of staff orientation, eight weeks of children's camp, and two weeks of family camp. The employment period varies between nine and eleven weeks, ending either August 16 or August 29. Most jobs are residential and provide room and board.

We have the following openings for summer 2014:

COUNSELORS: The core of the camp staff. Candidates should be caring, enthusiastic and have a genuine concern for children. Counselors supervise, lead, guide and live with a group of 3-10 children. They also teach activities (see list below). These positions require maturity, creativity and a strong commitment to children. Click here to learn more about being a counselor. Candidates must be at least age 18 and have graduated from high school before January 1, 2014.

We need counselors who can instruct one or more of the following activities: Ceramics & Pottery, Jewelry, Mountain Biking, Ropes Course (High), Sailing, Visual Art (3-D), Wakeboarding, Waterskiing, and Woodworking.

ASSISTANT WATERFRONT DIRECTOR: Responsible for assisting the Waterfront Director with the overall supervision of the aquatic activities and staff. This includes the instructional and recreational swimming programs and general boating safety. He/she will help supervise lifeguards, swim instructors, and boating instructors and substitute for the Waterfront Director in her absence. Watch this video to see our awesome waterfront in action. Candidates must be age 21 or older and have current Lifeguarding, first aid, and CPR. We can assist in acquiring the necessary certifications, if they are not current.

NURSE ASSISTANT: Responsible for assisting the nurses with managing the daily healthcare needs of campers and staff, including first aid and record keeping. Great learning opportunity for student in nursing or other medical field.

TEEN LEADERSHIP PROGRAM DIRECTOR: Responsible for planning and implementing the Teen Leadership Program composed of 16 participants and three staff members. This program focuses on leadership development, teamwork, independence, and self-confidence in a small group setting. Also responsible for supervising two Teen Leadership Program staff members. Click here to learn more. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, creativity and organizational skills. You must have experience working with teens, resident camp experience, be age 21+, and have a clean driving record. Lifeguard, first aid and CPR certification is a plus. We can assist in acquiring the necessary certifications.

HIGH ROPES COURSE DIRECTOR: Responsible for the overall organization of the High Ropes Course program, including, supervising staff, training, safety, maintaining equipment and facilitating high ropes activities. Seeking candidates with previous high ropes experience and/or training. Must be age 21+ with CPR and Wilderness First Aid (or higher) certification. We can assist in acquiring the necessary certifications.

MULTIMEDIA DIRECTOR: Responsible for creating three multimedia shows that combine photos, video, and music. These shows are presented at the end of each camp session. He /She will also shoot a variety of video to be used for the web and the multimedia shows.Video experience, computer experience and creativity required.

ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT: Duties include accounts payable, processing of invoices and payments, and petty cash management. Experience with QuickBooks required. Full time, seasonal position, June 9 - August 29, 2014. Seeking person who lives in the local area. Housing is not available.

COOK: Part of a ten person staff consisting of a food service director, three cooks and six prep assistants. He/She is responsible for helping to prepare, cook and serve 3 daily meals, supervising prep cooks, and monitoring safety and cleanliness. Previous cooking and supervisory experience required.
